My nerdy Christmas wish for 2013

Dear Santa,

Every year a creative lab somewhere in the world makes a great nerdy spoof video of some current hit, bringing a smile to the faces of stressed, overworked PhD students and postdocs (and also others, including lazy bums like me, who procrastinate by surfing the web and checking out youtube videos ;)).

In 2011 it was “Bad Project” by the Zheng lab, a parody of the Lady Gaga hit “Bad Romance“.

In 2012 the Weigel lab contributed a hilarious video (“Weigel Style”) based on the surprise hit “Gangnam Style” by the South Korean pop artist Psy.

For 2013 the jury is still out, but “What does the Fox say” by the Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis is just asking for it.

Santa, please get some lab to do it (especially the dance) – it’d be such a great Christmas present 😉
